Sistas On The Couch

Days: Wednesday
Time: 2pm until 4pm

This is a relaxed conversational show. We tend to talk for around 10 to 15 minutes then play one or two tunes.

With regards to music we often ask our guest to bring in a couple of their own personal tunes from their private collection – even if it is not in English. Their own music can encourage conversation. We normally like to get to know the real person behind the job title or business or topic.

Competitions: As far as possible we always ask local businesses if they have any ‘goodies’ to give away as prizes.

Past Topics and Guests: Peter Fahey, Chief Constable GMP, A local writer of “Top 10 Tips How to Walk In High Heels; the local Fishmonger; the local herbalist; African & Caribbean Restaurateurs’; Topics have included: ‘the safer sex pack for African & Caribbean people; Why do we celebrate Xmas; and many more.

Donations: As we are a not-for-profit community radio organization any donations for guest profiling are welcome.

    Hi

I’m a performance poet and community artist and heard that you were interested in women’s writing journeys, I am free on Tuesdays 2-4 and would really like to support your show and be a guest.

    Kind regards

    To: Whom it may concern
A Manchester-based Pastor has just published her first book entitled ‘Go Forward’. She would like to share with you how she found peace after having experienced childhood trauma.

Would you consider having her on your show? I am sure you would find her a rivetting and inspirational guest. Her press release is available on request.Thank you.

    Sincerely
